That Different Side of You

That side of You which comforts me,
Makes me feel I’m loved, alone but not lonely.
Wherever I go, I would like them to see;
You are with me, I can smile without worry.

The way You say I am forgiven,
Puts me into tears, I have wronged you again.
Taken for granted, Your heart I had broken;
But You took the blame, you endured the pain.

Though gentle, you rebuke, I ought to obey
You whip me with love, I am humbled to pray.
Be my guiding light; teach me and lead the way.
For with You I know, I will never go astray.

How I am longing to be closer to You,
To know more of You, to discover something new.
Reveal your purpose, let me see you through;
Tell me a secret, that different side of You!
